Bespoke Projects

Showcasing the brilliant robot inventor, APRIL, this bespoke picture book illustrates the work done by the APRIL AI Hub. This was an incredibly fun project, brainstorming with some of the most brilliant minds in the scientific world, to create a book that was STEM based, described their ethos, and targeted at primary school aged children with subliminal themes of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. What's not to love?

The APRIL AI Hub is working to use Artificial Intelligence to improve Electronics Productions. You can check out their work at www.april.ac.uk and you can read more about the book here.

Also, if you'd like complimentary copies for your school or library, you can email them at april@ed.ac.uk (UK only).

This was probably one of the most enjoyable projects I did. I conducted a Story Writing Workshop for Year 6's in a primary School in London, and was mindblown by the stories I received at the end. I edited them, formated and compiled them into a book. I was thrilled by the letters of thanks I received for the feedback I'd sent them, along with some absolutely gorgeous cards.

Nothing beats working with children. The added bonus was that the school could then sell the books, and all proceeds went to the school.

As these story writing workshops are labour-intensive, I take them on first come first serve basis. And charge £10 per head, which includes a published book at the end.

I made this rhyming, picture book for my daughter's pre-school. It's a settling in book, describing a typical day at the preschool, and all the adventures they'd have together.
It was a real labour of love, and the unfortunate side effect is, Ria still weeps when she reads it because she misses the place so much! (You can bet I've hidden all copies and every visible reminder now.)
